Expropriation Bill: IRR’s Dr Anthea Jeffery in conversation

9 February 2021 - Tomorrow, Wednesday 10 February, at 09h00, the IRR will be hosting a livestreamed conversation with IRR Head of Policy Research, Dr Anthea Jeffery, on the Expropriation Bill, currently open for public comment until the end of February.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 10 February, at 09h00, the IRR will be hosting a livestreamed conversation with IRR Head of Policy Research, Dr Anthea Jeffery, on the Expropriation Bill, currently open for public comment until the end of February.

The IRR is immensely encouraged by the response from South Africans to its call for public participation in opposing the Bill. Nearly 20 000 South Africans have joined the IRR in standing up against the draconian provisions in the draft law that risk fundamentally undermining the property rights and human rights of all South Africans, and surrendering power to the state and government at all levels that would endanger the country’s future.

Dr Jeffery, the author of the IRR’s submission to Parliament on the Expropriation Bill, will join Hermann Pretorius, the IRR’s Head of Strategic Initiatives, in a livestreamed conversation to answer important questions South Africans are asking about the Expropriation Bill.

Join the IRR in our efforts to #KillTheBill to protect the ability of South Africans who want to own what they have worked hard to earn.
