IRR CEO Frans Cronje to step down

16 February 2021 - The Institute of Race Relations (IRR) has announced that its CEO, Dr Frans Cronje, will step down at the end of 2021 after eighteen years at the institute, eight as CEO.

The Institute of Race Relations (IRR) has announced that its CEO, Dr Frans Cronje, will step down at the end of 2021 after eighteen years at the institute, eight as CEO.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the IRR, Mr Roger Crawford, thanked Dr Cronje for his long-standing and exemplary service. He added that Dr Cronje had flagged the possibility of stepping down in 2019 but later agreed to stay on to see the IRR through the Covid-19 pandemic.  

IRR Chief of Staff John Endres said a selection committee had been formed to identify Dr Cronje’s successor.
